A few weeks ago, my sweet girl turned three and we threw her the most perfect Disney princess party! I always love planning her birthday party and strive to make the theme something I know she’ll love (check out last year’s ice cream themed party HERE), and this year was no different. If you know Olivia, you know that the first thing she does when she gets out of bed in the morning is put on one of her many Disney princess dresses. So there was no question that her party had to be fit for a princess!

I didn’t want the party to be huge with a ton of people and I wanted to have it in my home, so I invited just her 3 little friends and their mommies. And I have to say that if you’re debating on whether to have a big blowout party or something small and intimate, this is the way to go. I felt like I could really focus on Olivia and just enjoy her party without having to be Super Hostess.
^^Decorating the table was super easy! I found this roll of pretty paper at the craft store and used it as a table runner and then gathered up all of Olivia’s princess figurines and set them up in the middle.
Planning a princess party was so much fun and actually super easy. There is an abundance of options with a Disney Princess party theme. One search on Amazon and you can likely find everything you need and I also found a ton of stuff at my local dollar store. But my favorite things were these princess pouches I had made from Etsy, a princess banner that was made from the pages of a Little Golden Book, and the princess backdrop (that came with some cute photo props too!).

I had a few activities planned for the girls but also left some time for them to just play with Olivia’s toys in the play room. I bought this princess sticker book and the girls had fun putting together their princess’s face/crown/jewelry. The next activity was jewelry making– I went to my local craft store and picked up a few varieties of beads and elastic string and then each girl made their own necklace. And the last activity was cupcake decorating! I bought some paint palettes and filled each spot with different types of sprinkles and let the girls have at it.
For lunch, the kids had mini cheeseburger sliders on Hawaiian rolls with veggie straws and fruit salad. The adults had a spinach salad with chicken salad on croissants. And there were cupcakes, of course!
There’s nothing quite like watching your little girl’s face light up as everyone sings happy birthday to her. Especially since she had been asking if it was her birthday yet for weeks before her actual birthday. 🙂
I think it’s safe to say these princesses had a good time! If you’re planning on throwing your own princess party, you can shop everything that I used in the widget below!
