Treat Yo Self: Indulgence by the Spoonful

Happy New Year, friends! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays with friends and family and maybe even found some time for yourself. That is definitely something I plan to do more of this year– be more intentional with my time and devote some of it to self care.

As any mom can tell you, most of my time is dedicated to taking care of the needs of my kids– there are meals to make, scraped knees to kiss, laundry to be done, doll clothes to be changed, dishes to do, the list goes on and on. So when I do get a moment to myself, I want to make the most of it.

Ya know that meme that makes its way around mommy groups, it goes something like this:

Any other parents out there go into panic mode when presented with an hour of alone time? Should I read a book? Clean the house? Take up knitting? Learn German? Train for my black belt? Solve world hunger? OMG, do all the things! Aaaand your hour is up!

I can’t tell you how many times I have found myself in that same predicament and then, laughably, my time was wasted away thinking about what I should have done with that hour. But I have decided that when possible, I am going to spend more of that time indulging in things I enjoy, like reading a good book and treating myself to an Oikos Whole Milk Greek Yogurt.

Oikos Whole Milk Greek Yogurt is one of my #treatyoself snacks. I like to make healthy food choices, but also enjoy indulging in one of Oikos Whole Milk Greek Yogurt 15 different flavors (one of my favs is the cafe latte). It’s made with whole milk that gives it that rich and creamy texture. And it’s a great snack for that afternoon sweet tooth I get and even better when I add in a few chocolate chips– it’s indulgence by the spoonful.
