So here’s a fun fact about me: ever since I was a kid I have always hated getting my hair cut and usually always cried afterwards. It got to the point where my mom would tell me that she wasn’t going to take me to get my haircut anymore because she didn’t want to deal with the aftermath. Fortunately for my mom (and myself) I’m not quite as dramatic as I used to be about my hair. In fact, I recently cut 6 inches off and didn’t shed a single tear. Aren’t you proud?!
But I’m also not very good with hair and I like to keep it really low maintenance. I typically have two styles: up and down. And I absolutely loathe blowdrying my hair. And that hatred increases tenfold when it’s summertime and the weather is hot. So lately I’ve been experimenting with some wet hairstyles for the summer, so if you’re like me and need the easiest and quickest styles ever, then these are for you. If you regularly do intricate braided hairstyles that you claim only take 2 minutes then move it right along. 😉
I recently started using La Bella® beauty and hair products and I am obsessed. I love trying new shampoos and conditioners and like most women, one of the main determining factors in whether I buy (besides how good it works) is smell. And all of their products smell aaaaaaamaze! My fav is the avocado oil because it’s so hydrating, but the mango and honey scent is right up there too! So I definitely recommend trying them out and using this coupon.
Ponytail Braid (super original name, right? But so much cuter than a basic pony!)
- I start by toweling off my damp hair and use a little of the La Bella® shine serum on my ends.
- Section off a triangular area near the front of my head, braid it, and secure with a rubber band.
- Pull hair and braid up into a pony and secure with elastic. Then once the braid is securely in the ponytail, I take the elastic out of my braid so it’s not visible.
- If you have fly away hairs like I do then rub a small amount of gel in your palms and smooth sides of hair.
Messy Bun- Having only two hairstyles (up and down) I have pretty much perfected the art of the messy bun. But this style is even easier with wet hair and I find that it holds better.
- Brush wet hair up into a high pony and with the pony in your left hand and elastic on the right wrist, pull the pony about a 1/3 of the way through.
- Using your free hand, pull the remaining hair around the base of the pony and loop the elastic around again, catching the extra hair.
- Loop the elastic one last time around the bun. Use a bobby pin to secure each side of the bun down so it’s not floppy.
- If you have fly away hairs like I do then rub a small amount of gel in your palms and smooth sides of hair.
In addition to the amazing hair products, La Bella® also has some pretty great skincare products like Rose Hip Face and Body Oil and Collagen Face Cream. Check them out HERE to learn more and download a coupon to save $1.50 on any one La Bella beauty product!
Were those not the easiest hairstyles?! Perfect for busy moms on the go!
