November Life Lately

Happy Friday! Happy no more election television commercials! Happy only 47 days until Christmas! Did I miss anything there? It’s been a while since I just told you what is going on in my life and there is kind of a lot. It’s been a crazy few weeks and with the holidays coming up it’s only going to get crazier. So here is our November life lately…

A fright at home

A couple weeks ago we had quite a scare. I was home alone with the kids and it was a cold, blustery Saturday. All of a sudden I heard a super loud crash from the front of the house. I went to the window and see that a huge part of the neighbor’s tree had fallen on our front yard. I was startled and went to the second floor to get a better look of where it had fallen from and what kind of damage happened. As I was looking out the window, I heard another loud crack and looked up to see another HUGE branch splitting from the tree and heading straight for the window I was looking out of. I ran out of the room so fast, but thankfully the tree just grazed the side of our house. We wound up having some damage to our roof, gutters, and landscaping, but we were so fortunate that that was the only damage because it could have been so much worse.

A one year old

Can you believe my sweet baby boy is turning ONE in less than 2 weeks?! Aside from bawling my eyes out about the fact my baby is growing up too fast, I’m also trying to plan his first birthday party. Nothing too big or crazy, just something small at home with friends and family, but still special. I will be sure to share photos!

A new business venture

This is probably the most exciting thing on my plate right now and I’m so happy I get to share it with you– I have started selling essential oils with Young Living! I first bought my starter kit three years ago, but it wasn’t until this past year that I really started using and realizing all the amazing benefits of essential oils. We use them for sleep, emotional support, wellness, and to make our house smell amazing! I will, of course, be sharing some of the ways I use essential oils on the blog, but I promise I won’t overwhelm you or get annoying.
