A Little Bit of Sunshine No. 17

September 7, 2018

It’s Friday, it’s September, and my babygirl just had her first day of preschool yesterday. ***Cue ALL the tears.*** She did really well and didn’t shed a tear– although I can’t say the same for myself. A part of me is excited to have a little bit more time for myself and then the other part of me wants to keep her home with me forever. It occurred to me that from this point on she will neverĀ not be in school. And even though that’s kind of a sad thought, I also know that she is getting to a point where she needs more than what I am able to give her at home. So go learn + do big things, babygirl.

Now that we got the mushy stuff out of the way, let’s talk about what I’m loving this week.

What’s in my shopping cart…

For Mama…

  • I’ve been debating on getting this fleece pullover for a while and kept thinking ‘do I really need another fleece?’ And I think the answer is YES.
  • I just got this leopard tee to layer under cardigans for the fall (bring on the cooler weather!!!)
  • It has been raining like crazy here lately and I already have a pair of black Hunter boots but these berry colored ones are on sale for $100! They also come in 3 or 4 more colors!

For Mini…

  • Yesterday I blogged about our current favorite books and I just bought this one from Amazon. I haven’t read it yet but I have a feeling Olivia is going to love it.
  • Olivia is obsessed with Legos. She has the Duplo blocks but has recently been really into the classic sets and it is also something that I love doing with her.
  • My mom just bought Chutes and Ladders for Olivia and it is such a cute and fun game for preschool age kids (and it also helps them with counting).

For Baby…

  • We are at a point now where both kids need/want to be in a stroller but I hate taking out/breaking down my huge double stroller so I just got this double umbrella stroller and LOVE it. It has storage underneath, good size sun canopies, each seat can recline independently of the other, and it fits through doorways. Oh and it’s only $120.
  • I am going to start transitioning Nathan from a bottle to a sippy cup and love these because they are also compatible with our Avent bottles.
  • How cute is this one piece?!

What’s on the agenda…

I was looking up some fun fall crafts to do with Olivia this year and I found this super easy fall tree craft. All you need is paint, paper, and qtips! I will definitely be doing this one soon!

Things that make you go hmmm…

I’ve seen many moms do little questionnaires with their children at the start of every year and I thought it would be a great tradition to start with Olivia. And I’m sure over the years we will look back on her answers and smile.
