Baby Boy’s 3 Month Update

March 6, 2018

Happy March, friends! Can you believe we’re already this far into the year? I’ve been a little MIA lately because we were out of town for a week and then I’ve been fighting a little cold the last few days. We went to California for Eric’s nephew’s Bar Mitzvah and to visit my aunt and uncle and then we finished the trip up with a day at Disneyland! The trip was crazy busy, nonstop, go go go, and I totally feel like I need a vaca from my vaca, BUT it was SO nice to spend time with both of our families. But now I am back on the blog and ready to catch you up on our sweet THREE MONTH OLD baby boy!

First of all, can we discuss how the heck 3 months have already gone by? (Technically, he’s 3.5 months old, but we’ll just pretend that I’m a good mama doing this update on time. 😉 ) Everything seemed to go so slowly with Olivia because I was always anxiously awaiting the next milestone. And this time around I just feel so busy trying to keep up with two children that time is passing by so quickly! So here’s what Baby Boy has been up to lately…

Breastfeeding

I have been lucky enough to have two kids that are breastfeeding champions. I do not attribute this to my amazing breastfeeding knowledge, because I have none, really. It’s truly just that they knew how to do it and I followed their lead. Nathan has a great latch, he eats like it’s his last meal, and he’s been gaining weight steadily. He is a healthy boy and he’s working on his rolls and mama just wants to eat him up!

Sleep

Hmm… how should I describe his sleep… predictably unpredictable? Most nights he sleeps from 9pm to 5 or 6am. But then every few days he’ll randomly wake up at 3am as if to say “don’t get too comfortable, Mom and Dad!” We sleep trained Olivia around this age and had great success with it, so we might try again this time if needed.

Sweet Moments + Milestones + More

Nathan is such a calm and happy baby… until he isn’t. Haha! When he is hungry, he makes sure to let you and the neighbors know. He eats a ton and then spits half of it right up and it drives mama cray. He sounds like a pterodactyl when he laughs/smiles/gets excited and it might be the funniest/cutest thing ever. Nathan smiles at the sight of his big sister, is working on lifting his head, and has recently discovered his voice.

Baby Boy’s Fav Things

These are our favorite baby products. We’re just as in love with the Boppy lounger and Oxo wipe dispenser this time around as we were with Olivia. And we also couldn’t live without the Dockatot and play mat.

Thanks for stopping by!

XO,

L
