You know those people that are sitting in the exact same room, at the exact same table and aren’t looking at each other because they’re too busy looking at their phones? Yeah, that’s my husband and me. Don’t get me wrong, we love each other’s company, but we are both busy people. My husband works in sales, so checking his email and taking calls is a huge part of his job. Don’t even get me started on his gaming addiction– hello Clash of Clans, Candy Crush, and Sim City! And as a blogger, checking social media or blog stats has kinda become my life. So to say we’re “phone people” is an understatement.

So making sure that we do get quality time together has always been a priority for both of us. That’s why when the weekend rolls around, one of our favorite things to do is have a family movie night. I don’t love going to the movie theater because it can get expensive after paying for the price of the movie, snacks, and a babysitter to watch your little one. Instead, I like to make things special at home by creating a popcorn bar for us and watching a movie cuddled up on the couch.

But now our movie nights just got a whole lot better with my new Walmart Family Mobile PLUS plan because it not only includes Unlimited Talk, Text, and Data, which includes up to 10GB of 4G LTE, but you also get one free new release rental on VUDU every month (a $7 value) per line for only $49.88.

Getting Walmart’s Family Mobile Plus plan was easy. I headed to the back of the store in the electronics department and picked up my brand new Cool Pad Rogue for only $19.88 (on rollback from $39.83) and my Starter Kit. Double Bonus: the Starter Kits are cheaper than before and now on rollback for just $19.88 (from $25) and the offer lasts until July 7th. Setting up my phone was soooo easy, no waiting at the store while a salesperson takes hours to get you started. I did it by myself, at home in 15 minutes.

This plan not only accommodates my phone/data/text addiction needs, but it also gives us the chance to spend time together as a family. Oh, and putting together a popcorn bar is pretty awesome [and easy] too. All you have to do is make a bag (or two, or three) of your favorite popcorn and put in a giant bowl (I actually used an ice bucket) and pick up some yummy toppings. I got MnMs, Swedish Fish, Reeses Pieces, gummy worms, marshmallows, and pretzels and put them in cute little tins for easy scooping access. And don’t forget some ice cold root beer or pop! My husband and I looked like two kids in a candy shop putting our bowls of popcorn together and I won’t say who poured AAAALLLLL the Reeses Pieces in their popcorn, but it wasn’t me! 😉

Once we were settled in with our popcorn, we were able to stream our movie on our Roku (you can also use other devices like Apple TV, a tablet, laptop, etc). The only problem we ran into during movie night was which movie to watch! I’ll let you guess who won that battle! Do you have a family movie night tradition? What’s your fav movie snack? Or even better, who is the snack stealer in your house? 😉
