gift guide for kids

Merry Christmas! Oops! I mean, Happy Monday! 🙂 Okay, here it is! The first official gift guide of the season! It may seem a little early, but I have to tell you that at this time last year I was pregnant with Nathan and due on November 25th, so my goal was to not only have all of my holiday shopping done before he was born, but to have all the presents wrapped too. And ya know what? I did it! For the first time ever I didn’t procrastinate and it felt amazing. And now I want to do the same this year, so I think I’ve turned over a new leaf!

So this holiday gift guide for kids has everrrryyyyything! I’ve got pretend play toys, I’ve got amazing books, I’ve even got toys picked out that could take up some serious square footage in your house! There are so many good things in this gift guide that you are sure to find something for your son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild, etc.

Pretend Play

We have the KidKraft kitchen and it is one of the most used toys in our house. Not only does Olivia love it, but Nathan is also very interested in opening the cabinets and pulling everything out! I also love that doctor set because it’s gender neutral and has so many more pieces than the usual sets.

Arts + Crafts

We have that giant Crayola box of crayons/markers/colored pencils and Olivia uses it all the time. It’s great because it keeps everything so organized and easy to set up for the kids when they want to color.

Educational/Building

Those magnet tiles are an absolute must. Olivia plays with those every. single. day. It’s really the only way I can shower in peace. She loves to build houses and castles for her toys and it really feeds her creativity.

Books

We own every single one of these books and love them all! If you’re looking for something that rhymes and has quirky illustrations then go with any of the “Awesome” books. If you’re looking for something funny then definitely pick “The Book With No Pictures.” If you want a book with a great lesson then get “Rosie Revere Engineer.”

Games

It’s so fun that Olivia is now at the age where she is able to understand and learn how to play games and these are a few of our favorites.

Do you have enough room in your house?

So many great things here! We have the tunnel and Nathan loves trying to catch Olivia through the tunnel.

Happy Shopping!!
