College Nannies + Sitters to the Rescue!

college nannies and sitters review

Having two kids is wonderful. More wonderful than I ever could have imagined. Watching Olivia and Nathan together just makes my heart swell with love.

But…

Two kids are more difficult than one. I know, I write groundbreaking stuff here on this blog.

Two kids means more laundry and more logistical planning and more stuff to carry in your bag and yadda, yadda, yadda. It’s also more difficult to get people to watch your kids when you need to go to an appointment, run errands, or have a date night and collect your sanity!

Eric and I have been fortunate enough to always have family watch Olivia and have never used a babysitter. But now that we have two kids, that can make it a little bit more difficult to ask family to take care of not just one child, but now TWO children and one of them is a baby. Plus, you don’t want to over-ask your family and take advantage.

And I don’t know about you, but thinking about leaving your child with someone that isn’t family can be nerve-racking. A bajillion questions run through my mind– Is this person going to be reliable? Is this person trustworthy? What’s this person’s background? Does this person have experience with children?

So how do you find someone that you can trust to care for your kids?

College Nannies + Sitters. College Nannies + Sitters recently reached out to me to try out their services. I was open to it because Eric and I have been saying for weeks that we needed to find someone other than family to watch Olivia and Nathan. I was impressed from the start because a Family Placement Manager came to my home for a consultation and she took notes about Olivia, Nathan, and even our dog so that she can give us suggestions on which sitters might make the best match. All sitters go through a rigorous interview process and are also background checked. And there are franchises across the country so even if you’re traveling to another state, they make finding a sitter easy and reliable.

I’m happy to say that Eric and I have a date night planned this weekend and I can’t wait to let you guys know how it goes. I feel confident in the sitter we chose and will be following up with another blog post to give you all the deets and let you know how it went!

XO,

L
