Chambray Your Way to Fall

August 4, 2016

This post was done in collaboration with Romwe.

Okay, I have a secret. Ready? I cannot wait for fall! Every year around this time I start seeing Halloween decorations pop up and stores displaying their fall merchandise and it gives me all the heart eyes. Fall is my favorite season. I mean, who doesn’t love cozy sweaters, cute boots, appleย picking, and pumpkin spiced lattes?! No friend of mine, that’s for sure! ๐Ÿ˜‰

But there’s always that time between summer and fall where the weather is kind of crazy and unpredictable and you don’t know what to wear. But I have a super cute, summer to fall transition outfit for you today and it starts with a little chambray.

First of all, if you guys haven’t checked out Romwe, you are MISSING OUT. Holy moly they have a ton of super cute clothes that areย SO inexpensive. I filled my online shopping cart with 10 things and the total was like $87 and that’s not even an exaggeration! These are some of the things I was crushing on:

  1. Seriously going to buy this maxi dress because it looks like the most comfy dress EVER.
  2. Another good summer/fall transition piece. Add a sweater, boots, and a hat and you’re good to go.
  3. This casual take on the LBD.
  4. Love the detail on this dress and so light and airy for summer

I finally decided on this drawstring denim shirt dress because I wanted something I could still wear in the summer but that could easily transition to fall with a few accessory changes. This dress is super soft, fits perfectly and is only $20! It’s a great outfit for anything from running errands to a casual date night. And to make this a more summery outfit, I would swap out the booties for some wedges or cute sandals (like these or these) and switch the felt hat to a straw hat (like this one) or go no hat at all. Hahaha! I swear that I am way more awkward and uncomfortable than I look! And I always try to choose places where there aren’t any people because I don’t want them to see me posing like I think I’m some kind of model! Lol!

Ok, this dress is ADORABLE! I’ve never owned a shirt dress because I feel like they are either boxy (which looks horrible on my small frame), or way too short to chase a toddler around…but this one is nicely fitted and totally long enough! I love it, and it looks fabulous on you!
