Calm the Holiday Chaos

Happy Thanksgiving week, friends! The holidays are upon us and it is such a busy time of year. I feel like I am always trying to cross things off my to do list (buying gifts, wrapping gifts, cooking, cooking, and MORE cooking) that sometimes I forget to savor the small moments that make this season so special– things like decorating the Christmas tree, watching Christmas movies, or doing fun holiday crafts.

I didn’t want those things to escape me (or my kids) this season, so the other day I thought I would have a fun little Mommy/Daughter afternoon with Olivia. We made our favorite Red Baron pizza; I love the four cheese and Olivia loves the pepperoni, but there are 11 different flavors to choose from, including Chipotle Chicken (yum!). Red Baron’s Classic Crust pizza is not too thick and not too thin, but it’s the perfect flaky crust.

And while we noshed on our delicious pizza, we worked on some homemade Christmas ornaments. I got some wood slices, paint, and set up the table with some brushes and paper to avoid the messes. And then Olivia got to work. She painted the wood slices and they turned out so cute (even though most of them are abstract Christmas colors 😉 ) and I plan on putting an ornament on each present we give this year.

We had the best afternoon just spending time together, eating our pizza, and doing crafts that I realized this is going to be our yearly tradition: Red Baron pizza + holiday crafts! You can find a location near you that sells Red Baron pizzas HERE and forget about the holiday chaos! Sit back and enjoy those special holiday moments.

XO,

L
