A Little Bit of Sunshine No. 19

little bit of sunshine no 19

Oh Em Gee. It has been a loooong time since I did a post for this series and I’m so happy to be back at it! It’s been a typical Midwestern spring around here– 4 inches of snow one day, followed by a couple 70 degree days and then back in the 50s. And that’s just in ONE week! But we have been taking full advantage of whatever warm weather we’re given. I love this picture of Olivia and Nathan enjoying the warm weather and just being kids.

What’s in my shopping cart…

For Mama…

  • I needed some new slip-on white shoes for spring and summer and these were perfect. They also come in 6 colors!
  • All the heart eyes for these distressed white denim. They are high-rise, stretchy, and just the perfect amount of distressing!
  • Okay, I got this basic tee in 4 different colors (on sale for $12.50)! They will all be on repeat with jeans and jean shorts all spring and summer long
  • Loving this denim jacket! Perfect for those cool nights!
  • I have been eyeing these pretty statement earrings and will probably get them!

For Mini…

  • Olivia started ballet class last week and I’ve gotten her a few cute leotards. Loved this one because it is cute, comes in 3 colors and is only $10
  • Okay, these sticky mosaics are the best! Olivia loves to do them and they’re great because it’s good number practice, and I love them because they keep her busy for a long time! There are so many other designs too!
  • Hatch Baby! We LOVE this thing. Before we got this, we had one device for a sound machine, one device for a night light, and one device for an alarm clock. It was just too much and none of them were amazing. I ordered this 3 in 1 and it’s awesome because you can control everything from an app on your phone. You can set the color of the nightlight, set the time you want your kid to wake up, and choose from several different sounds. 5 stars!

For Baby…

  • I ordered this basketball/soccer net for Nathan (and Olivia) a few weeks ago, but the person that plays with it the most is my husband! It’s super cute and fun for the kids to play with.
  • This hedgehog is a great toy if your kid is like mine and likes to take things in and out over and over and over.
  • We had lunch with my sister in-law the other day and my nephew had a similar Thomas toy and Nathan LOVED it, so this is currently in my Amazon shopping cart.

What’s on the agenda…

We’ve got a busy weekend ahead of us since we are celebrating Passover and Easter. It will be fun to spend time with family and to see the kids hunt for eggs. But I’m especially looking forward to the egg hunt my mom does for Eric and me– we’re both pretty competitive and the stakes are high, but he’s goin’ down.

I also thought I’d share this fun craft I did with Olivia the other day. It’s perfect for spring and would even be a nice craft to make for Mother’s Day to give to moms or grandmas. We first painted some paper straws green and while they dried, we cut out some outlines of Olivia’s hands and she colored them. Once the straws were dry, we glued the hands on the straws, added some leaves and voila!

Happy weekend! Happy Easter! And Happy Passover!

L
