12 books every toddler will love

Heyyyyy friends! How was your weekend? The midwest weather decided to put its bipolar tendencies on hold and actually gave us a few nice days. Eric and I spent most of the weekend doing chores, running errands, and cleaning and I’ve got a few posts coming up on all things spring cleaning. I also went through Olivia’s books and got rid of the ones we don’t read anymore or don’t care for. We have so many new favorites that I thought it was time to do another book roundup. You can read the first one I wrote last year HERE.

We read SO MUCH in our house. Olivia loves books and Eric and I both love reading to her. I take Olivia to the library every week and choose 10-12 new books and Eric reads to her every night. Whenever there’s a really good book that everyone loves we usually buy it on Amazon and add it to our permanent library. We also get a ton of books from my mom, an avid thrift store shopper, who always picks out inexpensive books that are keepers. So here are our current favs:

12 Books Every Toddler Will Love

12 books every toddler will love

  1. The Story Orchestra I mentioned this book in my Easter Basket Ideas post and just have to throw it out there again because it really is so cute. Each page has a button that plays a different clip of Vivaldi’s music and it’s so beautiful.
  2. An Awesome Book of Love I checked this book out at the library and Olivia wanted to read it over and over again and memorized most of it within a few reads so we just had to buy it and the other two books by the same author, which are equally as cute (An Awesome Book and An Awesome Book of Thanks)
  3. While Mama Had a Quick Little Chat This is one my mom found from the thrift store and it’s super cute!
  4. There’s a Mouse About the House I love this book because it’s interactive and your child can move the mouse through each page.
  5. Shift McGifty
  6. Alphablock Book A fun alphabet book
  7. The Pout Pout Fish
  8. Llama Llama Red Pajama Olivia knows this whole book by heart!
  9. Bunny Slopes This book was a gift and it’s another great interactive book that Olivia loves.
  10. Little Blue Truck Leads the Way I mentioned Little Blue Truck in my other post and it’s just a cute book that’s easy to read
  11. Pip the Little Penguin
  12. The Blue Chicken You HAVE to buy this book for the illustrations alone! It has the coolest/prettiest/most unique illustrations I’ve ever seen.

As always, I’d love to hear what books you and your kids are loving right now! Share your favorite books for toddlers in the comments below!

XO,

Thanks for the tips. We are still on board books but I think the ToddlerMonster might finally be getting an attention span long enough for a story book.
She’s rough in books though. She can even destroy a board book! We love the classics: Dr Suess, Corduroy, Good Night Gorilla. We love the Priddy Books for learning vocabulary. And we LOVE the indestructible Highlights Hello magazines!!

There are some new ones on this list for me! Yay! We love all Dr. Seuss, The Book With No Pictures and The Bella Girl On The Go to name a few! xo
