Weekend OOTD: Distressed Denim + Graphic Ts

Happy Monday! This weekend was pretty low key for us. No major plans, just kinda hanging out. And Sunday’s weather was just perfection! So we took advantage of the day by taking Olivia downtown and met up with some friends for an al fresco dinner. Afterwards, we walked around the Little Italy neighborhood and got some Italian ice. If you’re ever in Chicago in the summer, you have to stop at Mario’s Italian Lemonade stand. It is deeeeelish! The most refreshing summer treat.

I wanted to be comfortable yet cute, so it seemed like the perfect day for some distressed denim and a good ol’ graphic tee. Okay, let’s be real, every day is the perfect day for distressed denim and a t-shirt. I got this Viva La Brunch t-shirt from Old Navy a few months ago (no longer available, but found some other really cute similar options) and it’s been sitting in my closet with the tags still on it. Are you one of those people that wears things as soon as you buy them? Or are you like me and you wait and wait and wait until you feel like the outfit is ready to be worn? Am I just weird? Maybe.

Anyway, the tee paired with the distressed denim was the casual look I was going for, and because we went into the city (where the weather is often cooler) I grabbed this black and white plaid in case I got chilly. I added a few bangles and my fav watch and I was good to go.
