Name Bubbles Review: Keeping Track of Your Kid’s Stuff

Any mom knows that keeping track of their children’s belongings requires a great memory, a huge bag, and approximately 7 arms. Unfortunately, we are not always that well equipped. Most of us use the typical Sharpie marker and tape to label items, but the problem with that is at some point it eventually falls off. And how do you label clothes with marker and tape? Enter Name Bubbles; Name Bubbles are name labels that are waterproof, microwave, dishwasher and laundry safe.

Being able to personalize your children’s items (or your own) would make any busy mom’s life just a little bit easier. These labels are perfect for a child in daycare or nanny share where everything down to the bottles they drink and shoes they wear needs to be labeled. They even have special labels for children that have allergies (nut, egg, gluten, etc.). Labeling is also great for someone like me that has a bunch of nieces and nephews that use hand-me-down clothes temporarily before giving them back to be used for the next child. And as a former teacher, having students’ school supplies labeled would save so many kids from “losing” their things.

I first went through the ordering process and was impressed by the amount of different kinds of labels, designs, colors, and fonts you could choose. And there’s a short clip that shows you how to apply your labels– pretty simple, just apply to a clean, dry surface and let them sit for 24 hours before washing/microwaving/freezing etc.

The two kinds of labels I got were:

Laundry Safe Tagless Clothing Labels – First, let me say that I thought it was pretty genius to come up with labels for tagless clothing, because so many baby clothes come without tags. The labels were easy enough to apply and so far (after several washes) the labels have stayed put and there hasn’t been any fading. #impressive Take note, however, that the labels for tagless clothes can only be washed in cold water and labels for tags can be washed in either hot or cold.

Dishwasher Safe Labels – So far these labels have survived the dishwasher and my baby’s constant picking at the corner of the label. I was initially concerned about how the label would stick onto a rounded, curved surface like the sippy cup in the photo, but the sticker was really malleable and stuck without any bubbles or creasing. And I love that now when I’m around other moms and their kids, there will be no more questioning: Whose bottle is this? Is this your snack cup or mine? Who does this belong to?

Overall, I’d say these labels are a solid investment in the organization of your life and sanity. And right now you can use coupon code: SUNSHINE to get 15% off site wide until the end of March (and it’s free shipping for all U.S. orders!). Try ’em out and let me know what you guys think!
