We’ve been in the Terrible Twos for approximately 3 months now and I know we’re only just getting started, but they’re not so terrible… at least not yet. But I’m also told to “just wait for the threenage years.” I have seen, however, an increase in Olivia’s energy. Or maybe I’m losing energy? Either way, entertaining her is becoming more and more of a full-time job. So I thought I’d do a roundup of our current favorite mama-approved toddler products. (If your little one isn’t a toddler just yet you can see some of our baby favs here, here, and here)

Olivia and I do a ton of structured classes like gymnastics, dance, music, etc., but every kid needs that unstructured play time. Just like every mama needs to sip her beverage of choice in peace and quiet while she watches said unstructured play. 😉

Blocks. Lately, Olivia is obsessed with building towers. She stacks everything from her food to her toys, so I got her some blocks and she loves them. It’s pretty cool to watch her make different designs with the legos or learning to balance foam blocks.

Dollhouse. I recently bought a really cute dollhouse at TJMaxx and it has quickly become Olivia’s favorite toy. The funny thing is that she doesn’t even play with dolls in it, she just rearranges the furniture over and over again. Future interior designer?

Water Table. Now that it’s warm out, we spend so much time outside and Olivia loves her water table this year even more than she did last time. It can easily entertain her for up to an hour. #winning

Lorena Canals Rug. Okay so this one might be more of a mama fav than a toddler fav, but these rugs are seriously awesome. They’re super soft, come in a ton of different designs and colors, but the absolute best part? They are machine washable! Yep! We keep this rug in front of Olivia’s play area and sometimes I fold it up and put it away when she’s not using it, but she always asks me to spread it out when she wants to play. And as you can see below, she loves to use it as a blanket too! Haha! Check out the other beautiful Lorena Canals Rugs!

I’d love to know what your toddler favs are! What toy/activity can guarantee you at least enough time to drink a hot cup of coffee?

XO,

L
