A Little Bit of Sunshine No. 3

July 28, 2017

Hip hip hooray, it’s Fridayyyy!! This has been the looooongest week ever after getting home from Italy, doing laundry, and riding the struggle bus called Jet Lag. Not to mention I sorta kinda started trying to potty train Olivia, but more on that in another post. And the crazy part is that Eric and I leave for Utah next week! I’m looking forward to alone time with hubby but traveling definitely takes a toll– especially when preggo! Anyway, I thought it was time for my favorite (and only) blog series– a Little Bit of Sunshine!

What’s in my shopping cart this week…

For Mama…

I’ve always been a fan of this rosebud salve and have talked about it before on the blog, but in the last couple months my lips started getting really dry and flaky (not pretty, I know) and I discovered BITE agave lip mask and oh em gee, this stuff is amazing. My lips have never been softer or smoother. It is pricey but totally worth it for me. And that kimono is calling my name. I’ll take all the flowy, non tummy restricting clothing!

For Mini…

I bought the buckle pillow and sticker book (above) at the last minute right before our trip and I swear those two things were our saving grace. Olivia played with them not only on the plane but the entire trip. Also, how cute are those jammies?

What’s on the menu…

I tried overnight oats for the first time this week and where the heck have I been?! They are SO GOOD. My aunt gave me an easy recipe: layer each ingredient in a mason jar starting with 1/2 cup old fashioned oats, 1/2 cup coconut milk, 1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt. Adding whatever fruit you want on top (optional) or just add a sprinkle of cinnamon (my fav). Refrigerate overnight and enjoy! Now that I know how good they are, I want to try this Cinnamon Roll Overnight Oats recipe and this Strawberries and Cream Overnight Oats.

A funny story…

Olivia is growing ever more curious by the day and a couple of weeks ago, Eric had just gotten out of the shower and was wearing his briefs as he was getting dressed. Olivia goes up to him and honked his package and said, “Daddy what’s in there?” OMG WE DIED LAUGHING and this will likely go down in history as the most hilarious Olivia story ever.

Have a great weekend, friends!

XO,

L
