Old Navy: Boy + Girl Style

April 13, 2016
old navy boy and girl style

How is it only Wednesday? Is it just me or is this week draaaaaagging? Or maybe I’m just anxious for the warm weather that Chicago is supposedly going to be getting this weekend (come on 75 degrees!). Either way, it needs to be Friday, like now.

If you follow me on Instagram (@myplotofsunshine), you might have seen what I posted the other day about how I was changing Olivia’s diaper and I had just set the poopy diaper aside. She somehow grabbed the diaper and whipped it and flung her poop on the floor. Like, for real. I cannot make this up. And I couldn’t even be mad at her, because have you seen how cute she is?! So yeah, that was the highlight of my Monday.

Then yesterday, it was the end of music class and I was talking to one of the moms and Olivia was playing on the floor. I watched her pull her bow our of her hair but I didn’t pay attention to what she did with it. So we’re about to leave and I start looking around but can’t find it anywhere, so I tell the music teacher to keep a look out for it. Fast foward to when we get home and I go to change her diaper and– SURPRISE! she somehow stuffed her bow down her onesie. And that was the highlight of my Tuesday. This is it guys, the glamorous and exciting life of a stay at home mom. 😉

But enough of that. The other day I stopped in at Old Navy to see if they had any cute clothes for Olivia. I promise that I’m not being paid to say this, but Old Navy is kinda awesome. I love that their children’s clothes are really cute and super inexpensive. Because, let’s be real here, I love my kid, but I am not spending a shit ton of money on someone who will outgrow their clothes in 3 months. I’d rather spend the money on clothes for mama. 😉 So I put together a few of my Old Navy favs and I’m just gonna keep on hoping that the weather gets warm enough to eventually wear this stuff!

kids style: old navy for boys and girls

BOYS: Straw Fedora | Swim Trunks | French Terry Hoodie | Chambray Shorts | Slip On Shoes

GIRLS: Flower Sunglasses | Off the shoulder top | Denim Shorts | Jelly Shoes | Tutu Swimsuit

I fell in love with the ruffle off the shoulder top and jelly shoes (hello, early 90s!) and bought them immediately. The only downside is they don’t sell that top in adult sizes. And even though I’m not a boy mom, I had fun picking out some cute boys clothes. I love seeing little boys in fedoras so I had to throw that in there.

I don’t know about you, but picking out kids clothes and making your little ones look like stylish little people is kinda fun. I’m thinking a bathing suit roundup is in the near future!
