Can we talk about how June is practically over? Um, where has the time gone? Summer, please slow down! I just can’t believe we’re already one week away from the Fourth of July weekend! Fourth of July is the epitome of summer to me. When I think of 4th of July festivities, I think of a hot sunny day and a cool night. Pool splashes and sun kissed skin. I think of sweet, buttery corn, hot dogs, and potato salad. Fourth of July is watermelon, lightening bugs, popsicles, and a sky lit up with fireworks. It is a wonderful holiday and I’m looking forward to it. So in honor of the best weekend of the summer, I put together some fun Fourth of July goodies.
I am obsessed with this Stars and stripes tee and this off the shoulder navy star wide neck sweatshirt (I especially love the sweatshirt because it’s cute enough and not too festive that you can wear it all year round)
For some reason, drinks always taste better when sipped from cute and festive straws
This adorable boys flex t-shirt cracked me up when I saw it.
As a girl mom, I just had to include some cute chambray polka dot bows (also adorable for more than just the holiday)
Who wouldn’t love a bomb pop pool float?! So fun!
This is the perfect blanket for laying under the sky and looking up at some fireworks.
This sweet dress is festive without being over the top.
I glanced at Pinterest today for some Fourth of July inspo and found sooooo many cute ideas. I love these fun ice cubes that will make even your glass of water look celebratory. This is an easy, cheap, and fun craft if you’re looking for something to do next week with the kids. And if you need a last minute dessert idea for a party, this one is perfect, but I would def add a side of cool whip! 😉
Okay, now I have one last little treat for you. Remember the other day how I said that my mom and dad and I used to wear those Old Navy flag shirts (If you missed that post, you can find it here)? Well, I had my mom go digging in some photo albums and we couldn’t find a pic from the actual Fourth of July, but here is a pic of my parents sporting their Old Navy flag t-shirts. The only reason I am not wearing my shirt is because I was clearly going to a school dance of some sort. You’re welcome.
Do you have any Fourth of July favs I should know about? What are your traditions for the 4th?
XO,
L
I’m glad your mother can entertain your audience!
The pool float is hands down the best one I have ever seen.

I love all of your picks! And that photo is totally priceless 🙂
Haha, my husband still has his Old Navy flag shirt and the graphic is all messed up from multiple washings!! Happy 4th in advance 🙂
Those little bows are so cute! But since I’ve got 2 boys, that flex shirt is the best!
Ok, 1: your old family pic is AMAZING!! 2: I need that popsicle pool float in my life!! And 3: I cannot believe June is almost over. WHAT?!?!
I didn’t even realize that Popsicle was a pool float at first!! Great round up and I love the throwback photo!
