Happy Monday, friends! Or as I like to call it, happy-one-more-day-that-I’m-still-waiting-for-this-baby-to-make-its-appearance! I think it’s safe to say that I’m officially over being pregnant. I mean, nine months is a looooooong time, so I’m issuing an eviction notice to this baby: I know it’s probably warm and cozy in there and Midwest winters that await you are no joke, but, and I say this in the most motherly way possible, get out! 🙂
Overall, I’m feeling pretty good physically, but the anxiety of not knowing when and how this baby is going to show up is driving me crazy. I have trouble sleeping at night because I think every night is THE night and then it isn’t. My hospital bag is packed, so at least this time I am more prepared than I was with Olivia. But wouldn’t it be nice if you could just know when and how it’s going to happen?
In the meantime, I am just trying to spend as much quality time with Olivia as I can. I took her on a few mommy/daughter dates last week and they were so bittersweet. I love spending time with her and she has become my little sidekick, my bestie, my mini me and it makes me kind of sad that it won’t be just the two of us anymore. But I’m also excited for the new dynamic that the baby will bring to the table and to start a new normal as a family of four.
I wanted to remember this special time in our lives, so I decided to get some maternity photos with Eric and Olivia and Oh Em Gee I am so happy I did! I used Waffles & Honey Photography and couldn’t be happier with the way the photos turned out. She captured perfect moments of our sweet little family and I will cherish them forever!
