A few weeks ago, my bestie and I were having a girls shopping day, which by the way, should be a monthly (maybe weekly?) thing, and I was telling her I needed a new purse for Italy. The bag needs to be functional because it would still serve as a diaper bag since we’re bringing Olivia. It needs to be comfortable since I’ll be wearing it as we walk around all day exploring. And it needs to be stylish, obvi!
We walked into Nordstrom Rack and she said how about a backpack? Ew, a backpack? And I pictured a black Jansport from high school. Oh how wrong I was! She held up this beautiful Liebeskind backpack and it was love at first sight. The bag is amazing because it can be worn as a backpack or it can convert into a cross body bag. If that’s not #winning then I don’t know what is!
It has opened my eyes to a whole new world! I would have never thought of a backpack as an every day bag and now I can’t stop wearing it. Plus, having your hands completely free to run after and catch a toddler is kind of amazing. So I’m sharing my newfound love of backpacks with you today and found some of the cutest non-Jansport looking backpacks. 🙂 Most of these backpacks come in other colors too so make sure to check them all out!

I work part-time (commute from the burbs to the Loop) and have a toddler similar in age to your daughter. I’ve been sporting the Henri Bendel Jetsetter Convertible Backpack for a few months now. I was so happy to find a stylish and convertible backpack. It’s great! I LOVE the one you picked up, too!! I might have to take a trip to Nordstrom Rack to see if they have any more in store because I love how easy it is to go from crossbody to backpack. On a side note, I saw you doing a butterfly craft with your daughter the other day on Insta. You’re so creative! It would be great to see a future post about the crafts you do together. I’m always looking for inspiration.
