Happy Thursday, loves! Hope your week is going well and you’re getting ready for a relaxing holiday weekend! I am almost 19 weeks pregnant and just under halfway there! Whaaaaat?! So I thought I’d share a little bumpdate and bump style.

The Bumpdate

I’ve been really fortunate to have a smooth pregnancy thus far. No crazy sickness, sleeping pretty well, no bad headaches– I promise I’m not bragging! At this point, I think I have the second trimester to thank, but feeling great does have its downsides too. Sometimes I feel so good that I wonder, Am I pregnant? Is everything okay in there? I have been feeling some movement and that’s always reassuring and exciting.

My big 20 week ultrasound will be a little early since we’ll already be in Italy when I’m 20 weeks, and I can’t wait to see this little love moving around in there. My doctor also told me that since Olivia was so tiny when she was born (only 4 lb 12 oz) I will be having one extra ultrasound in my third trimester as a precaution to make sure everything is as it should be.

I will say that I am craving all the things that I can’t eat, like a huge Italian sub sandwich and maybe a grapefruit Summer Shandy to wash it all down with. Sounds so good. Even though I’m not giving in to those cravings, I am still eating a ton and then immediately regretting it afterwards when I can’t breathe because I’m so stuffed. #pregoproblems But overall, I feel good and I’m grateful for that.

Dress

Lately, I’ve gotten a ton of questions from my fellow prego mamas about how to style the bump + best places to shop for maternity clothes and I am happy to help! So here’s the deal, I say maternity clothes but what I really mean is clothes that fit the growing belly. A lot of what I have been buying lately is not maternity. I am buying regular clothes in the next size up or clothes with a lot of stretch. That will probably start to change as I get bigger, but for now I love having clothes that I will likely hopefully wear again after I’m pregnant.

My two fav places to shop for bump clothes has been Asos and Forever 21. Even though Forever doesn’t have maternity clothes, they have a ton of dresses that look great on the bump and the best part is that they’re so inexpensive that I wouldn’t feel bad if I didn’t wear them again. I’ve always loved Asos for their super cute non-maternity clothes, but their maternity selection is the bomb dot com. It’s better and more affordable then pretty much any maternity clothing store I’ve ever shopped at.

Old Navy and HM are also good options but are a little more hit or miss when it comes to maternity wear. Nordstrom is also on the list, but be prepared to spend a little more there.

I’ve pretty much been living in dresses since the weather got warmer so this edition of bump style is all about the summer dresses. Happy shopping!

Asos

Seriously though, are they not the most stylish maternity clothes ever?!? And SO inexpensive!

Forever 21

All of these Forever 21 dresses are non-maternity but I have most of them and they fit the bump nicely.

Old Navy | HM

Have a happy day!
