So, I know there are a lot of people out there that are not fans of Valentine’s Day, and I get that. Okay, I actually don’t get it. I mean, it’s a holiday (albeit a very small one) that celebrates love! Why wouldn’t you want to celebrate that? And it just so happens to be right in the middle of winter when there is absolutely nothing else going on, so that’s a double bonus right there.
You don’t have to go all out crazy and spend a ton of money to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Eric and I usually do a low key dinner and get each each other cards and if he’s smart, he buys me flowers. 😉 But I’d also be happy with cooking a nice dinner at home, opening a bottle of wine, and watching an entire movie without Eric falling asleep *wishful thinking.*
Anyways, Valentine’s Day is just a great day to show a little extra love to your loved ones! But why stop there, right? Might as well treat yo self to any of the things on my Valentine’s Goodies for the mamas roundup! I know I already have! I bought myself the black and white love pillow and the red heart sweatshirt. And I showed up at my mom’s house yesterday wearing the sweatshirt and she immediately asked why I didn’t buy her one. So, of course, I had to get one for her too. (Btw, I sized up from a small to a medium because I like sweatshirts a little cozier.)
Next week I have a roundup of Valentine’s goodies for the little ones too so stay tuned for that.
