Target: Happy and Guiltless Shopping

January 15, 2016

Oh, Target or should I say Targé? Like most people, I have quite the obsession with Target Stores aka My Happy Place. I go to Target at least once a week (if Olivia could talk she would confirm that) and have probably spent a shit ton (that’s an actual term) of money there. Eric and I call it guiltless shopping because everything is so affordable and so dang cute! I even have a strategy for shopping at Target. You can’t just go in there all willy nilly and start shopping. You need to know which side of the store the clothes are because that’s where you start. You don’t want to get your groceries first because then you have to worry about them staying cold and and you wind up rushing through the three best parts of the store– home decor, clothing and the dollar section. Now that I’ve gone on and on about my love for Target, I thought I’d round up a few of my current Target obsessions.

First, the home decor… I could spend hours (and I do) roaming those aisles. You know what aisles I’m talking about too. The ones that whisper your name and reach out to grab your soul. Those aisles sparkle and shimmer with furry pillows, fuzzy throws, adorable wall hangings, decor for every season, cutting boards and bar carts, tiny little bowls that you have no use for, glasses and mugs, and things galore.

This last “For the Mamas” section wasn’t even planned for this post, but I was at Target today (obviously) and passed by the new Oh Joy Collection for Target and fell in love (the You’re Okay wall art above is also a part of the collection). They also have some really cute matching swaddles and sheets.

Okay, that’s enough out of me and my addiction. Happy shopping and happy Friday, friends!

    Lauren Dear,
I too LOVE Target. Can’t get out of there under $100.00. You two hooked my on the grocery side. I agree there are some great prices over there. I love the dollar side they have some good finds. I really love how they spruced up the home decor section. So many wonderful ideas and great decorating stuff. ( You know that’s where I get my blood really flowing. )Be careful Lauren you may turn out like me, and fill up that house of yours with all the little cutsie things like my house. It’s easy to fall into that trap. I hope you have a Target card, because with the card you get an extra 5% off your purchase. Also if you select a school that maybe Livi will go to Target will donate a % to the school every year, I still donate to Madalyn’s elementary school here in Northbrook. Happy shopping.
    Love you XO
