Rockin’ My Go-To

When I was a young teen, I used to loooove reading Cosmopolitan magazine. And not the Cosmo teen version, the full on adult woman version. Which is kind of funny now looking back on it because so many of the pieces in there had some pretty salacious titles… 5 Tricks That Will Wow Him in Bed, How to Up Your Sex Appeal, Get the Big O Every Time. Okay, so I totally made all of those up, but you get the idea.

Those articles were well beyond anywhere I was at on the, ahem, bases, but I loved reading the celebrity interviews. And one of the questions they’d always ask was what is your go-to outfit? The celebrities would give their answers and I just enjoyed reading them. But when I think about that question for my own non-celebrity self, the answer is always going to be jeans and a white tee. It’s simple, effortless, and always in style. I love that a plain white tee and denim can be worn so many different ways. Throw on a pair of my fav Converse and a cute hat and it’s the perfect chill look for running errands. Swap out those tennis shoes for a pair a pumps and add a statement necklace and you’ve got the perfect date night look. Which is exactly the outfit I’m rocking here.

I happened to be in Target the other day (SHOCKING, I know!) and saw the SUGARFIX by BaubleBar line and was kinda obsessed with it all. I was somehow able to use some restraint and bought only one thing: this gorgeous sea glass necklace. It’s a pretty color for spring and summer and thought I’d pair it with my fav outfit. I also picked out a few other gorgeous pieces from that line in the widget below.

I always have a really hard time finding jeans but have recently been having some luck at American Eagle. I bought these jeans the other day and I love them because they have So. Much. Stretch. But they also don’t get that loose saggy butt looking thing going on in the back. They aren’t as cropped on me as they look on the model on the website (maybe because I’m short?) so I might consider getting them in a long if you don’t want that super cropped look.
