Pack it up, Pack it in, Let me begin: Packing for Hawaii

Oh hey, Friday! How you doin’?

I started packing for Hawaii this week and I was reminded of how much I hate packing. But I just keep thinking about the end game: sun, sand, and relaxation. And also, can we talk about how much crap you have to pack when traveling with kids? It’s bad enough packing for yourself but packing for a toddler too? So. Much. Stuff. And I don’t even know how people with more than one child go anywhere!

But let’s talk about things that are more fun than packing… like all the brand new goodies I bought for this trip. I didn’t go crazy, but I did buy some things that I’ve had my eye on and that will surely be used for the trip and this summer.

Pretty dress: check! Comfy wedges: check! Functional bag: check! Cute sunnies: check! Good beach read: check!

I bought this striped tote bag to use as my purse/carry on/diaper bag for the plane and I’m obsessed. It also comes in two other patterns/colors. I also linked to the prettiest bathing suit coverup that I bought. Okay, so let’s talk shoes. I bought the cutout wedges on the left last summer and loooove them and this year there is a new design on them (I included both above). The colorful sandals are from Target and are a great dupe for some Steve Maddens (both included above). And the best for last: these Marc Fisher wedges. I swear I have never worn a more comfortable pair of wedges in my life! They are a bit pricey though so I also included a very similar and much cheaper pair above.

I bought this adorable smock dress, but I would size down because it’s very loose fitting.

I have just taken my obsession with dressing Olivia and I alike to a whole new level. These matching swimsuits are perfection. You can mix and match different style tops/bottoms/patterns to get the combo you like best. AND they also have men and boys suits too! (Mom: coral top, striped bottom) (Little: coral top, striped bottom)

And you know I couldn’t resist picking up a few things for Liv too, of course! Those jellies are my fav and she always gets so many compliments when she wears them. Plus, they are “smelly jellies” and they smell like strawberries! 🙂
