Happy Monday, ya’ll! I have been meaning to share Nathan’s newborn photos for weeks now but #momlife happened. And now he’s almost 11 weeks old! How long is a newborn even considered a newborn? Asking for a friend…
Either way, I am in love with these photos that the super duper talented Erin from Waffles & Honey Photography took. She came to our house and captured Nathan’s sweet newborn goodness for us to treasure forever!
I also thought I’d share a few tips for making sure you’re prepared for your newborn session…
- Choose what everyone is going to wear BEFORE the baby is even born. Newborn photos are usually taken within the first 7-10 days of coming home from the hospital and you will be in too much of a fog to even feel like picking clothes out for the whole family.
- Remember that your post-pregnancy body will most likely not be the same as you’re pre-pregnancy body, so choose something that you’ll feel comfortable in. Flowy tops and leggings are always a good option.
- Decide which room(s) you’ll want the photos taken in (most likely the nursery and/or the master bedroom) and then clean it. And by clean it, I mean stage it by throwing everything you don’t want seen into a closet, cabinet, or under the bed. 🙂
- Try to plan for your baby to be hungry when the photographer gets to your house so that you can nurse/feed him or her at the beginning of the session. This way the baby will have a full tummy and likely sleep through the whole thing.
I am obsessed with the pictures of Olivia and Nathan together. It is so apparent how much she already loves her little brother.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week, friends!
