Happy New Year, friends! I hope you had a wonderful holiday filled with love! It’s been so nice to just relax and spend time with my hubs and my babies. I love New Year’s Eve and looking forward to the new year because it is a chance to reflect on everything I’ve done and get excited about everything I want to do. This past year was one of the most exciting and fun years I’ve ever had. The obvious highlight of my year was getting pregnant and having our second child, but a close second were all the travels we went on– Hawaii, Italy, Sweden, and Utah. It’s going to be pretty difficult for 2018 to top all that but I’m certainly going to try!

If you know me, you know I’m not a fan of new year’s resolutions, but I saw something on Pinterest that I thought I’d share with you all and maybe inspire you to create some goals of your own…

This year…

a bad habit I’m going to break… oh man, I would love to say procrastination, but maybe next year. šŸ˜‰ In all seriousness, I really am going to try to be better about putting things off.

a person i hope to be more like… Ellen DeGeneres! I love Ellen and watch her show every day. She is such a light in the world and I want to be more like her.

a good deed i’m going to do… this isn’t very specific, but I want to do more volunteer work. I want to help people and I also want to include Olivia in whatever I do to show her what it means to give back.

a place I’d like to visit… I went to Mexico every single year as I was growing up and I would love to take Eric, Olivia, and Nathan there this year.

a book I’d like to read… Oh man, there’s so many! I have three books sitting on my nightstand right now just waiting to be read: Big Little Lies, Beneath a Scarlett Sky, Call Me By Your Name.

I’m going to do better at… working out. My 6 week postpartum check up is this week and I’ll be cleared to exercise again and I’m looking forward to being healthier (and losing this baby weight!).

The new year always holds so much promise and I’m looking forward to making this year amazing, so bring it, 2018! I’d love to hear what goals and plans you have for the new year!

XO,

L

I like and share your volunteering goal. I contacted the memory care facility my grandpa was supposed to move into this week to volunteer there with the girls just spending time with the residents. Iā€™m going to be reading more this year too- we should coordinate our books!
