Friday Favs + Don’t Go, Summer!

August 19, 2016
Olivia cozy coupe

I’m pretty sure I blinked and summer was almost over. How are we already more than halfway through August?! Don’t get me wrong, fall is my favorite season, but that doesn’t mean I’m ready for BBQing, swimming, walks to DQ, and summer dresses to end!

This summer was also pretty special because it was the first summer that Olivia and I really got to do fun things and enjoy each other’s company. Last year, she was still a newborn/infant and the only thing we did was take long power walks around the neighborhood while she slept and I tried desperately to get my baby weight off. #notfun This summer we’ve done so much– trips to splash pads and pools, the zoo, played in the backyard, blew bubbles and popped them all, went down slides and swung on swings. I saw Olivia’s little personality start to form; she has started walking and talking and giving kisses. It’s been wonderful and it will be a summer I’ll cherish forever. So I’m clinging to summer with a quick lil Friday Favs roundup.

I’ve been seeing these floppy hats quite a bit this summer and I looooove them! The best part is that you can customize them to say whatever you want. I think I’d want mine to say, Not coming home.

I don’t post a lot of home decor stuff here (do you think I should start?) but I am loving this window frame. Perhaps as the center of a gallery wall?

This would be a perfect beach bag. Also, kinda feeling this one too.

Cute and casual flat espadrilles.

Does this not look like the tastiest summer meal ever?

Obsessed with these dresses for toddlers: here, here, and we have this one and love it.

How pretty is this simple white lace tee? And not terribly expensive either.

Oh and I’ll leave you with a little story: when I was little, I always wanted one of those Little Tikes Cozy Coupe Cars but my parents never bought me one (I know, worst parents EVER). So my mom bought one for Olivia from a garage sale (we don’t pay full price around here!) and she loooooves it. Like, she had a full-fledged meltdown yesterday when it was time to go inside and I’m pretty sure the whole block heard her crying. But at least she didn’t have to go through life without one, like me. 🙂

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

XO,

L

I love these lists! I have an old farmhouse window hanging in my kitchen! It doesn’t have any glass, but my husband found it in the trash and fixed it up for me! I have pictures and then some pegboard/dry erase so it’s all-purpose. I love it!

That sounds awesome! I love that you can use yours for more than just decor! Good job to your hubby for finding it!

I know I can’t believe time is flying by either, but I have to say coming from Phoenix I am happy to see the summer go because it is our longest season. Cozy Coupes are the best and I agree find it for half the price, way to go mama!
    xo, Nicole

Great styles! I wanted that car too and was thrilled to give it to my son. (Not so thrilled with the 3 hour assembly.)
