Cross One Off the Bucket List

italy trip

Three cheers to being super close to the weekend! And even bigger cheers for the news I’m about to share! Are you ready for it? I am going to ITALY!!! Cue the fireworks, streamers, and proschuitto! Italy has been the number one spot on my bucket list for a loooooooong time and we finally booked a trip! I. Am. So. Excited.

Eric and I started talking about going to Italy last summer when I found out that I would be standing up in my friend’s wedding. My friend lives in Sweden and her wedding is in Malmo (the second largest city in Sweden). I’ve been there before so I figured that if I’m going to be all the way out in Europe that I might as well visit somewhere I haven’t been yet, and so the idea of going to Italy was born.

We decided to bring Olivia and my mom with us because I didn’t want to leave Olivia for 2.5 weeks and I didn’t want to overwhelm my mom and in-laws with the responsibility of watching her for that long. I am not going to lie, I am super nervous about traveling to Europe with a toddler, but I’m hoping that three adults can manage one sassy two year old. #imscared

Okay, so where in Italy are we traveling? Gosh, this was tough to decide because I really want to see the whole country but there’s that whole time and money thing. So we decided on Rome, the Amalfi Coast, and Florence. I’m most looking forward to the Amalfi Coast and its spectacular views, the history of Rome, and the food of Florence… so basically everything!

And now I need your help. Please spam me with all of your recommendations, tips, and trips! Where should we go, eat, visit, see? And any tips on traveling with a toddler to Italy! I’d love to hear it all!

XO,

L
