Bit of Sunshine No. 7

Happy Friday, friends! Can someone please explain to me how October is already halfway over?? The clock is a tickin’ and I can’t believe Baby #2 will be here next month! For the next 6 weeks I plan on soaking up all the third trimester sleep I can get, spending lots of time with Olivia, and maybe, just maybe, getting a few things together for the baby. In the meantime, here are some of my favorite things this week.

What’s in my shopping cart this week…

For Mama…

The cutest Halloween tees/sweatshirt because who doesn’t like to be festive?! I have black Hunter boots but I’m thinking I need a little bit of color and I’ve got my eye on these red Hunters. Those slippers look  so cozy for the coming cold winter months. Need I say more?

For Mini…

We already own those jammies and shoes and Olivia gets a ton of compliments on the shoes. Lately, Olivia has been very into cleaning and even tried to sweep with my sister in-law’s fireplace broom so these cleaning toys are in my cart. And if you get nothing else here, you must get these painting books. Each page has its own color palette at the top and all your child needs to do is dip their paintbrush in water to paint. Perfect for pretty much anywhere.

What’s on the menu…

Creamy Dreamy Fall Pumpkin Alfredo. ‘Nuff said, right?! I haven’t made this yet but I am most definitely planning on it. Pumpkin + Pasta? I’m in! Also, since I’m in the Halloween spirit, how cute are these mini spider pizzas?

A funny story…

A Little Bit of Sunshine No. 7

I took Olivia to Nordstrom the other day to make a return and we pass through the shoe department. She stops to admire some shoes and she has a near meltdown because I wouldn’t let her try on a pair of Jimmy Choo high heels. True story. So we leave the store with tears in her eyes and she says, “Mommy, I’ll try on your high heels when we get home, deal?”

XO,

L

Wow, she SAID that? “Deal?” Wonderful – and smart that child. Wow, Lauren and Eric — next month! How joyful!

    Lauren,
It looks like Olivia has the best seat in the house. Perfect, round, and comfy. What is she going to say when her favorite seat is gone next month? It’s time to start putting that baby room together. November is really happening can’t stop it. I’m coming over. XOXO I love you
