2 Month Update + Life Lately

I’ll be completely honest, the newborn stage is not my favorite. The first 6 weeks are the most grueling, sleep-deprived, frustrating, and challenging time of any parent’s life. You’re constantly giving so much of yourself without getting anything in return except poopy diapers and being woken up in the middle of the night. But when you finally get that first smile that isn’t because he just made the biggest fart, but because he is actually responding to your smile, makes it aaaaalllll worth it. And we’ve finally hit that point. #yay!

And now Nathan is already 2 months old! How is that possible? And what was life even like before him?We have quickly adjusted to life as a family of four and we’re all pretty in love with Nathan’s sweet smile and soft baby coos, especially Olivia.

The first few weeks that I had Nathan was all about surviving life with two kids, but we’ve recently started venturing out more and more, whether it’s to the library, walking around the mall, or doing our weekly (okay, okay, it’s more like thrice weekly) Target runs. The first time I went to Target by myself with both kids was laughable because I pushed around two carts– one for all the groceries and one with Olivia and Nathan in his carseat. #truestory But I recently stepped up my momming game with the BinxyBaby!

You might remember I had the BinxyBaby on my wishlist a few months ago and I was super excited when they sent me one. It fits securely on most shopping carts and allows you to put all your groceries underneath your babe so that you don’t have to push around two carts. And now I don’t know how moms of two or more even survived before this gem. Seriously, how?

I was a little worried about how Nathan would like sitting in it, but he fell asleep after about 5 minutes of being pushed around, so I think it’s safe to say he liked it. And mama likes anything that makes life easier.
